Eligibility Criteria:-

Age Limit:

(i) Flying Branch: The Candidates Should Not be less Than 20 Years of Age and Not more than 24 Years of Age as on 1st July 2025. 

(ii) Ground Duty Technical: The Candidates Should Not be less Than 20 Years of Age and Not more than 26 Years of Age as on 1st July 2025. 

(iii) Ground Duty Non-Technical: The Candidates Should Not be less Than 20 Years of Age and Not more than 26 Years of Age as on 1st July 2025. 

(iv) NCC Flying Branch: The Candidates Should Not be less Than 20 Years of Age and Not more than 24 Years of Age as on 1st July 2025.

Educational Qualification:

Flying Branch: Candidates should have mandatorily Passed With a Minimum of 50% Marks in Maths and Physics at 10+2 Level.

(a) Graduate with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks or equivalent, Or

(b) BE/B.Tech degree (four year course) from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.

Ground Duty (Technical): 10+2 Intermediate Physics and Mathematics with minimum 60% marks and minimum 4 years Graduation/Integrated PG degree in Engineering/Technology,

Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches. Administration:  Bachelor degree in any stream with at least 60% marks

Application Fee:

• General Candidates: Rs. 550/- Rupees.

• OBC Candidates: Rs. 550/- Rupees.

• EWS Candidates: Rs. 550/- Rupees.

• ST Candidates: Rs. 550/- Rupees.

• SC Candidates: Rs. 550/- Rupees.

Payment Mode: Candidates can pay their examination fees through an online payment gateway. Candidates should have any one of the following options to make the online payment – ​​Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or UPI.

Selection Process:

Physical Fitness Test:

Candidates are advised to be physically fit to be able to undergo various tests in AFSB when you report for SSB. You should aim to be able to run 01 mile (1.6 kms) in 10 minutes, do 10 push ups and 3 chin ups.

Written Test Details

Note: Candidates will not be permitted to enter the exam centre, under any circumstance, after the pre-exam verification process has comenced at 08:00 hrs for shift-I and 12:30 hrs for shift-II.

AFCAT 01/2025 Exam Pattern. 

The subjects, the time allowed and the maximum marks allotted to each subject will be as follows:-

• The Online examination will consist of objective type questions and will be in English only for both AFCAT and EKT.
•  Marking Scheme is as follows,
•  Three marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
• One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
• No marks for unattempted questions.

AFCAT 01/2025 Syllabus

(a) English: Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion/ Filling in of correct word, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary, Idioms and Phrases.

(b) General Awareness: History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Sports, etc.

(c) Numerical Ability: Decimal Fraction, Time and Work, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple Interest, Time & Distance (Trains/Boats & Streams).

(d) Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test.Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.

Standard: The standard of Numerical Ability Questions will be of Matriculation level. The standard of questions in other subjects will be of graduation level (Indian University).
