1. Scientific Officer for Directorate of Forensic Science, Guwahati, Assam
No of posts: 03 posts
Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs.1,10,000/-GP: Rs. 12,700/- Pay Band – 4
Educational Qualification:
Drugs & Narcotics Division: M.Sc. in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with specialization in concerned subject.
Toxicology Division: M.Sc. in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with specialization in concerned subject.
Biology Division: M.Sc. in Botany or M.Sc. in Zoology or M.Sc. in Anthropology (Physical) or M.Sc. in Biotechnology or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with specialization in concerned subject.
2. Scientific Officer for Regional Forensic Science Laboratories at Silchar, Tezpur, Bongaigaon, Dibrugarh and Jorhat respectively under the Directorate of Forensic Science, Assam

Educational Qualification:
Biology Division: M.Sc. in Botany or M.Sc. in Zoology or M.Sc. in Anthropology (Physical) or M.Sc. in Biotechnology or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with specialization in concerned subject.
Instrumentation Division: M.Sc. in Physics with Electronics or M.Sc. in Electronics or M.Sc. in Instrumentation or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with specialization in concerned subject.
Drugs and Narcotics Division: M.Sc. in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with specialization in concerned subject.
Other Criteria of Directorate of Forensic Science Recruitment
Citizenship: The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a Permanent Resident of Assam .
Domicile: As a domicile proof of the candidate, he/ she upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purpose/Employment Exchange Registration Certificate will be treated as proof of residency.
Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025.
Age Relaxation: Category-wise the upper age limit relaxation is as mentioned below:
SC/ST: By 5 years .
OBC/MOBC: By 3 years .
PWD: By 10 years .
Small Family Norms: The candidates have to submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of applying for the post.
